IM4-4: Facilitating People Group Movements
Enabling the Gospel Meme to Go Viral
Beginning with an overview of the social networking of Jesus and the apostles, this session focuses on gaining skills on how to become embedded in social networks, how to discern gatekeepers & brokers, establish social capital, and spread the gospel through network relations. Moving from the “person of peace” concept in Matthew 10, people movements are defined in terms of social networks arising from many and varied connections – from ethnicity and language to lifestyle, lifestage, religious heritage and other aspects of social identity. Group interaction applies four actions that facilitate the spread of the gospel within cultural groups.
