MR5-2B: Humans as Social Beings
Social Dimensions of Missional Theology
This workshop will look at the need for development of incarnational missions by beginning with an understanding of God's design in creating man in His own image with a soul meant for relationship with God and each other. The effect of the fall on human identity and thus the need to renew the image of God in man through redemption will be discussed. Participants will learn about the person as a social being, the community as a social environment, and ways that churches relate socially to the community. Several specific community groups will be highlighted as a basis for discussion.
