Alternative Community

Caring for Diverse Communities of Believers

This workshop will focus on God's activity in the world through His people in the community of believers.  Special consideration will be given to the responsibility of the assembly of believers to each other and the community.  Acts 15 will be background for discussion of the caring of one another that the church is to demonstrate in the church today.   

 

Workshop Objectives

What you will learn in this workshop

1.  That the church is a community of chosen people, committed believers, set apart, belonging to God to declare the praises of God who called you from darkness into light.

2.  You will discuss that church is not a building or institution and that it is an assembly or gathering of believers for a specific task and purpose.

3.  Gain and understanding of the significance of the church as a caring community.
