ML1-4: Creating a Missional Philosophy

Developing Structure to Undergird Missional Development

After reviewing the concept of a “philosophy outline” and its relationship to “mission, vision & core values;” “goals & objectives;” and “projects and action items,” this session will focus on an evaluation of sample churches. The purpose is to identify explicit statements that relate to the development of a missional philosophy and to evaluate those statements in light of the basic pieces of missional engagement and the aspects needed to facilitate missional movements.

 

Workshop Objectives

1.   You will gain an understanding of ministry philosophy.   

2.   You will learn about some of the types, basis, and significant factors that shape a missional plan.

3.   Presenter will discuss development and planning processes.

4.   You will evaluate philosophy components, examples, and statements.
