In the New Testament
Principles, Models and Methods of Evangelism from the Gospels & Acts
An unconventional look at the call of Jesus to be fishers of men and participate in kingdom disciplemaking. Special emphasis will be given to develop the participant's understanding of the phrases the "kingdom of God is at hand". Old Testament and New Testament background for the "fishers of men" concepts will be discussed in detail. Participants will be encouraged to apply principles from Jesus' model and methods of evangelism.
Workshop Objectives
What you will learn in this workshop
1. That the kingdom of God is an irritant to those outside the covenantal relationship because it foretells future judgement.
2. That the call to disciplemaking is a call to be a learner, follower, servant-learner.
3. That the OT concept of "fishing" that is often related to the judgment of God and the NT concept of being "fishers of men".
4. Learn about Jesus' disciplemaking and evangelism principles.
