Identifying Community Groups
Understanding Cultural Groups in the Community
This workshop will focus on how to effectively interface with people groups and their unique sociocultural setting in order to reach them with the gospel. Presenter will discuss population groups, how they relate to self, society, and God, the impact that their socio-religious heritage has on them, and how they relate to social institutions and systems. Participants will learn about the cultural and systemic problems, resistance to Christianity, and potential points of contact.

1. You will learn about the importance of strategic planning to identify and reach people groups.
2. Learn and apply to North American some of the missional perspectives of defining a people group.
3. With guidance you will identify groups and types of people in your neighborhood.
4. Discuss the community dimensions, resources, patterns, worldviews, structures and other cultural dimensions in interfacing with a sociocultural setting.
