ML2-3:
Building Your Philosophy Outline

Designing the Missional Modules that Structure Your Ministry

This session will deal with the concept of ministry philosophy, its components and how it links both “mission, vision, and core values” and “missional practice.”  We will provide a sample philosophy outline that breaks each “missional module” into its component parts.  A group exercise will be used to explore ways to further refine the ministry philosophy outline.  We will reinforce your understanding by reflecting on the case study presented in the previous session and by applying it to missional practice in which participants are engaged.

Workshop Objectives

1.   The presenter will discuss the projects, processes, and programs tied to ministry philosophy.

2.   Discussions will include the four planning levels including various modules, goals, strategies, and functions.

3.   You will discuss a sample philosophy tree that includes context, gospel, leadership, personnel, relationships, and training.

4.   Presenter will introduce moving from goals and strategy to functional segments.
