This initial workshop in the series is an important introduction for the participants who will gain an understanding of how to evaluate their missional focus and make a reality check of their community connections. Without a doubt the exercise in analyzing key issues related to their missional focus will be of particular benefit to church leadership. Biblical and practical considerations for church evaluation will be discussed in this workshop and developed through out the workshops to follow.
Workshop Objectives

1. Understand the Biblical foundation behind conducting a missional evaluation.
2. Gain an understanding of evaluative questions to ask to determine the missional health of your church.
3. Analyze whether your church is implementing missionary principles and is missionally-oriented.
4. Identify some of the practical implications of developing a healthy missionally-minded congregation.
5. Learn that the central focus of a missionary is to join in with the redemptive mission of God in reaching groups of people in the community.
